Wondering what happens at your first visit at our office? At your appointment, we will provide you with a complete oral examination of your mouth and smile. This examination helps us to catch symptoms of dental problems and treat them earlier on.
During the visual inspection, we will examine your teeth and tooth structure as well as your oral anatomy. We may also complete an oral cancer screening during this time as well. Often, our team will use digital X-rays during the examination, which help us identify the signs and diagnose dental issues like decaying teeth and bone deterioration.
We will also complete a periodontal examination to probe and examine your gums to better understand their level of health and check for gum disease. We will also check to see if you are experiencing any problems with your bite.
At the end of your examination, we will review your oral health status with you, discussing any issues we have found and treatments we recommend to correct said issues. We will be happy to go over all your treatment options and answer any questions you may have to assist you in making the best decisions for your oral and dental health.
